Myself and Mrs. Yee will be giving you preparatory tests before then.  Don't wait to start studying.  A little bit everyday will let you be prepared the best.

Take new notes as you study.  Your Level 5 exam is coming up quite soon.

Exercise 9-11:  Be able to explain your answers as we did in class.

Exercise 7:  First FOUR melodies.  Be ready to play one of yours on the piano.  The concepts of inversion and sequence that we spoke of in class today are great devices to help you now that we are not working within a purely tonal setting.

-Name 5 composers BORN in the 20th Century, find where they're from, and something interesting about them.

-If you'd like me to look at some of your previous work that we haven't been able to go over in class, bring it in.

The violin pieces I mentioned today were the "Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin" by J. S. Bach.  The Itzhak Perlman recording is particularly good.
